Summary
The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy is looking for a talented professional to serve as the managing director for our Center for Racial Justice (CRJ) and senior strategist for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Responsibilities*
Under general advisement from the founding director, provide strategic leadership and operational management on all CRJ activities, which will include:
- Manage all CRJ programming, including managing the work of students and staff working on CRJ projects
- Manage CRJ's budget and develop a sustainable funding model that ensures adequate revenues sufficient to maintain high quality programmatic activities and allow for continued growth
- Draft content for grant proposals and reports to sponsors
- Develop and oversee a communication and outreach strategy and marketing efforts aimed at increasing the visibility of the center
- Promote an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, and teamwork
In collaboration with the DEI Director, provide strategic leadership and programmatic management on DEI programming and initiatives, including:
- Co-manage implementation efforts and on-going refinement of the school's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan 2.0
- Develop new programs and processes intended to promote diversity and inclusion throughout the school, with an overarching goal of creating an environment where matters of diversity and inclusion are integral to the school's mission and ongoing success
- Develop strategy for promoting and fostering an integral approach to matters of diversity, equity and inclusion in the areas of teaching/faculty support, student programming and staff programs/administration within the Ford School
Required Qualifications*
- A Master's degree, with studies focused on racial justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or similar social advocacy
- Five or more years of leadership experience impacting racial justice, diversity and/or community outreach objectives
Desired Qualifications*
A PhD will be strongly preferred
